There are two versions of the Pat McGrath Bijoux Brilliance Eye & Cheek Palette that were released this season. Each palette contains two blushess and nine eyeshadows. Each of these palettes includes one new blush and one blush from the permanent range. The texture of the mattes felt slightly thinner, and they did not seem to be pigmented as the mattes found in the Mothership palettes. The shimmers were more comparable to past releases. Note, the formula in these larger palettes does differ in texture from the five-pan palettes.

Although they are better priced and the quality is comparable, I am not a big fan of the PMG palettes that are housed in the cardboard type containers. Maybe this is because I indulged in too many of her mothership palettes. Does that make me a beauty snob??

As per usual, I love Pat’s bronze shades and those in both palettes are stunning. The addition of the gorgeous green shades in the Starstruck palette really lifts it to another level.
The main problem with these two palettes, for me (and speaking on behalf of Mariella, who is in Japan) is the overall pinky/orangey tone which just does not work for us.

I didn’t want to be interested in these since I put a pause on buying any PML until the company gives us something exciting again, but the tones in Starstruck Splendor are speaking to me.

Can’t justify it at full price given what I already own, but I will look for Starstruck Splendour on sale. It’s beautiful. I was bummed my other green Pat McGrath shadow broke, so this will be a great replacement. I am wearing last year’s holiday palette today! Just love these big palettes.
