ColourPop Enchanted Palette Review & Swatches
Enchanted
ColourPop Enchanted 12-Pan Pressed Powder Shadow Palette ($18.00 for 0.3 oz.) is a new, limited edition purple-themed palette for the holiday season. It was filled with warmer, pinker/more berry-ish types of hues, and it did contain one glitter shade. The quality was consistent with the brand’s past formulas with lightly emollient shimmers and slightly powdery mattes, but they came together well and were easy enough to work with.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing” and “adheres easily to the eyes.” Most of the shades have semi-opaque to opaque pigmentation that applies well to bare skin, blends out without issue, and lasts for seven to eight hours.
The matte eyeshadows tend to be a little more powdery, though soft and finely-milled, in the pan, while the shimmers have a creamier, dense consistency. Occasionally, the more sparkly or metallic shades apply better with fingertips or a dampened brush.

The new Pressed Powder Shadow formula is supposed to be “highly pigmented” with an “ultra-velvety and silky” texture that is “long-wearing." The way the Pressed Pigments differ is that they're not intended for usage on the immediate eye area.
The majority of the shades are semi-opaque to opaque in coverage, blend out fairly well, and can sometimes be a bit drier/more powdery compared to typical matte shades. They often wear eight to nine hours on me before fading, but many shades in the Pressed Pigment family leave some staining behind.

Toad is a nifty shade, despite its application issue.. but sure, fingertip can always work for me.. The kicker for me on CP palettes is I find the mattes difficult to work with and I think it has to do with the overall thinness of the formula. I struggle getting smooth payoff and adhesion on my textured aging lids and I always wear primer. I find blending makes them disappear into nothingness or into some spots but not others. I haven’t purchased a CP palette for quite some time as a result.
ColourPop making me tired! This palette started off nice enough, but then several C’s, so I’m feeling like: “hey, I have ND Retro Midi, ABH Jackie Aina and Menagerie Flight Club, plus some of CP’s much better quality purple palettes, so what do I need this for?”
A more subdue pink and purple theme from CP – quite a good palette if the colour story appeals. Maze is my favourite shade.
I feel like the glitter is that new formula they used in their clear 9-pans? The ones that was Asian beauty inspired?
I think it’s really similar to their reg one but just packed with more (and finer) glitter!
