Between liquid and cream, I prefer the solid nature of a cream–I find it harder to control and often easier to apply, but I like liquid blush in particular over drier skin.

I agree, I think liquid ones are messy. I also like that the ROSE INC cream blush I use lately stores flat in a stack with other cosmetics.
I love how some of them have such an effortless veil of color that looks more naturally occurring.
However, I don’t believe that I own even ONE currently! They look like they’d be more fussy to apply, and so I’ve just never gotten into them. But, never say never, though! š
I keep forgetting to use my liquid blushes.When I’m in a hurry it’s easier to quickly swipe on powder blush. I really love my Lisa Eldridge liquid blushes but they tend clog the end of the tube applicator. The tip of the tube gets clogged and when I squeeze it too hard it squirted all over the place. Big mess! The Glossier liquid blushes are really nice, just need to remember to use them.
I prefer liquid blush. To me, it’s easier to apply with a light hand for a soft glow, or eve to mix with liquid foundation for a soft flush.
I have never used a liquid blush, the reason being that I think I could easily end up with too much on my fingers to apply – thereby wasting the product. I know that some containers have the kind of applicators that only allows you to squeeze out so much at a time, but I still think I would make a mess of it.
I didn’t use to be a fan of either cream or liquid blush and likely would not have ventured outside my comfort zone until I used a friend’s cream blush and really loved the effect. I don’t think I have tried any real liquid blushes, although I have used other liquid products in place of blush, in a pinch. The thing that I like about cream blushes is the finish, if they don’t pick up my base. As I am older and my skin is becoming more and more dry, I just think the look of a cream blush is more flattering. I have to say though, I usually use both. I use a cream and then tap a little powder blush over or around the cream, depending on the colors. Even when I used only powder blush, I rarely used just one. I think I get a more realistic look when I combine shades and finishes.
I used to only use powder blushes and they would fade on me throughout the day. Then I tried Danessa Myricks cream blushes and once I put it on it’s on for the day. I am very careful in the application and build it up slowly, I can also use it as a lip and eye product so it’s very nice for travel. Now I am not afraid to try other brands.
It can look really pretty, either alone or layered with a powder blush, as long as you don’t apply too much at once!
0i like both powder and cream blushes and have been considering a liquid blush. I have a liquid highlighter that I find very easy to control. Because I used Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, I think I will try the blush in her line.
I’ve only tried Flower Beauty’s Blush Bomb (Pinched) and Colourpop’s Supershock (Drop of a Hat) blushes. I like them both. They’re easy to use, not fussy and forgiving. I’ve been tempted by more liquid-y blushes but I know myself, I’m unlikely to ever reach for them. I don’t like fussy things and I like to use my fingers over brushes because I don’t like washing brushes (I do, but I want to keep it to a minimum.)
In general, I find them just too much work. I have to be careful not to “lift” my foundation/CC cream (if I’m wearing any) and I’m never sure, if using a powder foundation, whether to apply liquids (and creams) first or after and, if “after”, how to avoid ending up making almost a “batter” (like mixing flour with butter!). All in all, I find powder blushes just the easiest to use and rarely touch my cream and liquid blushes.
Agree. I think it largely depends on the skin type it is being applied to. Iām not a fan of liquid blush and if looking for a dewier blush, I would gravitate to cream instead. Liquid is often a lot sheerer and the idea of layering makes me wary of disturbing any base. It seems futzier. That said, a great option on bare skin for a very natural flush.
